Our Surplus Food Recovery Program is a sustainability initiative we are pleased to offer as a simple solution for handling leftover food, while having positive community and environmental impact.
Redirect and Donate to Food-Insecure Communities
Revol Events is proud to partner with B12Give (Be One to Give) to offer clients an easy solution for diverting excess food after events. Instead of sending high-quality leftover food to landfill, eligible items are safely redirected through B12Give’s on-demand logistics network where surplus food is donated to organizations serving food-insecure communities within the Greater Toronto Area.

How THE PROGRAM Works
POST-EVENT ASSESSMENT
Once your event is over, our event team identifies safe, high-quality surplus food that meets the criteria of suitable food for donation.
PACKAGING & PREPARATION
We then pack the food according to food-safety best practices and prepare the sealed, packaged food for quick, secure transport.
ON-DEMAND PICKUP
A B12Give driver is then dispatched to collect the surplus food, making sure that the food is transported quickly and stays safe for consumption.
SAME-DAY REDISTRIBUTION
The surplus food is distributed within 2 hours to local organizations serving food-insecure communities across the Greater Toronto Area.
IMPACT TRACKING & REPORTING
B12Give tracks the social and environmental impact in real-time including metrics such as meals delivered, food weight diverted and estimated greenhouse gas reduction.
Food Recovery Pickup Fee
To keep this program easy to understand and budget for, the surplus food pickup has a flat-rate fee that’s based on the size of your event.
$50.00 Pickup Fee for leftovers from events with up to 100 guests
$250.00 Pickup Fee for leftovers from events with over 100 guests
The food redirection pickup fee is simply added to your invoice.
We pass this fee on directly with no additional markups as a transparent at-cost service. If you anticipate your event to have surplus food, we coordinate the pickup and donation through B12Give at one of these flat rates.

As an added benefit, each event that donates surplus food comes with a Certificate of Impact that recognizes your contribution and supports ESG & CSR reporting. The certificate includes your organization’s name, the impact metrics from your donation, and an official acknowledgement from B12Give, demonstrating your organization’s commitment to responsible event practices.
Your Revol Events representative will email you the certificate after the pickup is completed.
